The ABTA Seminar Programme began in June 1998 with a seminar on the Millennium Bug. Since then ABTA has held seminars on a wide range of issues such as Fraud and Crime Prevention, The Euro, Crisis Management, Law, Service Fees, Marketing, Dealing with complaints and The Internet.
The Seminar Programme is run on self-funding basis and members are charged at cost rate in order to be affordable to all ABTA members and Travel Industry Partners. Non Members are welcome, but at a full seminar rate.
We have a wide range of speakers from the travel industry ranging from the Foreign Office to the Flying Squad. Each seminar usually includes a chairperson from ABTA, a consumer viewpoint, a legal/government viewpoint and a selection of case studies from travel agents and tour operators, concluding with a question and answer session with all speakers.
If you have a query, please e-mail the seminar team on , or phone Colin Yonge, ABTA Seminar Programme, on 020 7307 1979.
