Passenger Service Charge Court of Appeal

ABTA lawyers will be in the Court of Appeal, in the Royal Courts of Justice, Strand over the Passenger Service Charge (PSC) decision next week.

In a separate development, the Association has announced that the invitation to Members for their participation in the PSC recovery process has generated a large number of responses. Members were asked, in early April, to forward details of individual claims for lost PSC commission. Those received by the May 1st deadline have now been forwarded to Deloitte and Touche to be placed on a database.

The Association would like to advise those Members who have not yet responded, that the May 1st deadline has been extended and that they can still register their claims for lost commission. Members should note that any ABTA Member agent who is also an IATA agent can submit a claim. Any Members with queries on the procedure or who may have difficulties with the form, should contact the ABTA Legal Department on 0207 7307 1908 / 1957 or 1958

Riccardo Nardi, Head of ABTAs Legal Department, said: "I am delighted with the response so far. It has enabled us to make a good start on our database before the case comes to appeal. I would urge any Members who have not yet sent in details, and who wish to participate in the joint recovery process, to contact us as soon as possible."
